AMM / THE BIG PICTURE
One platform. A workflow that stays connected.Populated demonstration workspace

MEET YOUR WORKSPACE

Everything in view.
Nothing out of reach.

A chart is a starting point. Bring the research, the data and the trading tools into the same picture — arranged around you.

A MORE CONSIDERED PROCESS

Curiosity, with
the tools to follow it.

Look beyond a single result. Move from a hypothesis to a backtest, explore the alternatives, and study how strategies fit together.

01 / BACKTEST

Look at what
actually happened.

Run your strategy against historical data. Trace its equity and drawdown, inspect the individual trades and revisit the parameters behind the result.

  • Detailed performance and trade reports
  • Saved runs you can compare and reopen
  • Chart context for historical trades
The report behind the result.
02 / OPTIMISE

Ask better
“what if” questions.

Explore parameter ranges with grid, adaptive-grid or genetic search. Examine candidate results and sensitivity to understand how a strategy responds to change.

  • Multiple search approaches
  • Candidate ranking and parameter analysis
  • Walk-forward and batch research tools
More context for your next decision.
03 / COMBINE

The sum deserves
its own research.

A strategy's place in a portfolio is a question of its own. Blend the daily-close returns of saved runs, explore allocations and inspect the risk behind the combined picture.

  • Strategy selection and weighted allocations
  • Combined performance and drawdown
  • Factor risk and correlation inspection
Understand the parts. Study the whole.

Research informs decisions. Historical and simulated results do not guarantee future performance.

UNDERSTAND THE EXPOSURE

Put risk
in the picture.

Look beyond a return curve. Explore the factors behind an equity portfolio, the relationships between its parts and the assumptions behind an exit.

01 / FACTOR-BASED ANALYSIS

What is driving
the risk?

Choose a factor model and analyse an equity allocation, current holdings or a saved strategy result. Trace exposures and contributions, then explore how the model responds to different scenarios.

  • Factor and residual risk contributions
  • Volatility, VaR and stress scenarios
  • Rolling validation and data coverage

Equity portfolio analysis · exposures, contributions and assumptions in view

02 / COVARIANCE & CORRELATION

See what moves together.

Inspect factor, asset and residual relationships from an immutable model snapshot. Explore daily, annualised and horizon-scaled matrices, with the units and saved context retained.

03 / LIQUIDITY ANALYSIS

Consider the path to an exit.

Use traded-volume participation and stress assumptions to explore capacity, liquidation horizons and hypothetical spread and impact costs. See the missing or excluded inputs alongside the estimates.

Research you can return to.

Save named, dated risk runs. Compare portfolio exposures with a benchmark, review active exposures and revisit the inputs behind a result.

Risk and liquidity outputs are modelled estimates. Historical relationships, proxy coverage and volume assumptions affect the results.

A HOME FOR EACH PART OF YOUR PROCESS

More than a layout.
A way to stay organised.

Save the setup for a market watch, a research session or a trading day.
Switch between named workspaces; on desktop, keep several open together.

SAVED WORKSPACES / SWITCH & RESTORENamed layouts. Tabbed panels. Your context.
01 / SAVE

Keep the setup.

Save named workspaces, duplicate a starting point, and import or export layouts with their relevant chart and screener definitions.

02 / OPEN TOGETHER

Keep more in play.

On macOS and Windows, have several workspaces open concurrently. Keep market watching, research and execution ready in native tabs and windows.

03 / ARRANGE

A tab for the task.

Organise independent charts, research and trading tools in tabbed panel stacks. Explore result subtabs, with instrument and timeframe links where you want them.

04 / EXPAND

Use the desktop.

The browser keeps these tools in one window. On macOS and Windows, spread native windows across displays and move tabs or panels between them.

NATIVE DESKTOP / macOS & WINDOWS

Give the work
another window.

Keep a market view on one screen and research on another, with native windows that remain part of your workspace.

A LITTLE MORE CONTEXT

Good questions.

A closer look at the platform
and the research behind a decision.

What is AMM?

AMM is a trading and research platform that brings market charting, strategy backtesting, parameter optimisation, portfolio analysis and trading tools into a flexible workspace. You can arrange tools in panels, tabs and separate windows to suit the way you work.

Can I use it for both discretionary and systematic trading?

Yes. Charts, indicators, drawing tools, screeners and order management support discretionary workflows. Strategy backtesting, optimisation, walk-forward testing and portfolio research support systematic research. Both can share the same workspace.

How can I test a strategy?

Choose a strategy, instruments, a historical period and its parameters, then run a backtest. Inspect the report, equity, drawdown and individual trades. Optimisation explores parameter combinations, while walk-forward testing separates training and evaluation windows.

What can I do with portfolios?

Combine the daily-close returns of saved strategy runs, explore strategy selection and allocations, and examine the resulting portfolio metrics and factor risk. This helps you study combinations of research results. Running a live portfolio is a separate execution workflow.

What can I inspect in a risk model?

Explore factor exposures, factor and residual contributions, modelled volatility and VaR, covariance and correlation, stress scenarios, rolling validation and data coverage. Save a dated risk run and compare its exposures with a benchmark. The results depend on the selected model, proxies and available history.

How does liquidity analysis work?

AMM uses traded-volume history and your participation and stress assumptions to estimate capacity, liquidation horizons and hypothetical exit costs. It shows excluded or missing inputs so you can assess the basis of the result. Actual executable liquidity, timing and costs can differ from these modelled estimates.

Where can I use AMM?

AMM has desktop workspaces on macOS and Windows, including native multi-window layouts. The browser client provides a single-window workspace. Market data, research and execution use your configured AMM server and connected feeds.

How do workspaces, tabs and windows fit together?

Save a panel arrangement as a named workspace and switch between saved layouts. Panels and results have tabbed views. The browser uses a single active workspace in one window. On macOS and Windows, you can keep multiple workspaces open concurrently, organise their internal workspace tabs and move tabs or panels between native windows.

Does a good backtest guarantee future performance?

No. Historical and simulated results do not guarantee future performance. Data quality, assumptions, trading costs, execution conditions and overfitting all affect how research translates to real markets. Trading involves risk, including loss of capital.
