Use Binance Spot profiles, data and execution

Keep Global, US and Testnet isolated and trade exact spot quantities in the configured quote asset.

Select the environment before connecting#

AMM's Binance integration is Spot. It supports public quotes, candles, L2 depth and individual live trade prints, plus authenticated spot execution. It does not support Binance margin, short selling or futures. A Binance derivatives account does not change the implemented AMM route.

Open Data › Brokers & feeds › Binance. Select Global, Binance.US or Spot Testnet, then inspect the account quote asset and environment label. Public data needs no API key. Trading needs the correct profile's API key and secret. Saved status is redacted; a configured key is not returned to the app. Save keys, run Test connection and read back the selected profile before creating a session.

Global, US and Testnet have separate historical stores and credential/profile identity. Do not copy a Testnet symbol archive into Global storage or interpret a Testnet balance as live funds. Endpoint origin binding prevents silently applying a profile to an unrelated server. If you change provider/profile, stale typed credential drafts are discarded rather than reused.

Choose the pair and account quote#

Symbols retain both assets: BTC/USDT, BTC/USD and ETH/BTC are separate pairs. Authenticated execution must use the account's configured quote currency, USDT by default. Public data can cover other supported pairs. Having an instrument in a data picker does not prove it can trade in the selected account configuration.

Spot quantities are fractional base-asset units, subject to exact exchange quantity step, minimum quantity and notional rules. A BTC quantity is not a lot or a USD amount. Use the order estimate to inspect both the base amount and required quote funds. An unsupported asset-code representation or precision fails explicitly rather than being silently rounded.

Order types and inventory#

AMM supports market, limit and stop-limit orders. Priced limit orders support GTC, IOC and FOK where accepted. Attached position stop loss/take profit, brackets and exchange order lists are unavailable. A stop-limit is a pending order with its own activation and limit behavior; it is not equivalent to guaranteed position protection.

A limit amendment is a guarded cancel/replace operation on an unfilled original. If the original partially filled, explicitly cancel the remaining order and inspect the holding before replacing it. Stop-order amendment is unavailable. After a timeout or rejected amendment, read the actual working order rather than assuming cancellation succeeded.

The account holds one long inventory per base asset. AMM maintains virtual session allocations over that inventory. Sells cannot exceed the usable holding after existing obligations. External trades or transfers can affect the account independently of a session, so reconcile the account and session allocation before concluding that a fill is missing.

Fees and account display#

Binance fills carry an exact commission asset and amount. Quote-asset fees are cash costs; base-asset fees reduce inventory. A third-asset fee cannot be silently converted, so unsupported fee accounting fails. BNB fee discounts block new orders under the current accounting contract. Configure a supported fee arrangement before using authenticated execution.

The displayed Binance account balance is free plus locked cash in the selected quote asset. It is not the marked-to-market value of every crypto holding. Today/Week/Month change is unavailable where holdings cannot be valued consistently. Do not compare that cash-only number with another broker's net-liquidation equity as though they measure the same thing. Session realized P&L also has the current netted-venue fee-normalization limitation.

Download historical candles#

  1. Choose Binance and the intended profile in Data Download.
  2. Select the exact pair and Minute or Daily resolution; Global/Testnet can also request native Second candles.
  3. Set the UTC range and start the job.
  4. Inspect per-symbol completion, counts, errors and saved coverage.
  5. Open the matching Data Library entry and start research using the same provider/profile identity.

Binance.US does not expose the one-second candle interval; AMM rejects that request before contacting it. AMM pages beyond the provider's 1,000-candle limit. Daily/weekly boundaries use UTC, and monthly periods retain calendar-month semantics.

Historical acquisition covers candles. Aggregate trades are not raw individual trade ticks, and neither they nor a current depth snapshot constitute historical bid/ask or order-book history. Tick-history requests and Binance tick-source backtests fail with that distinction. Live prints and depth are separate streaming features.

Depth and stream recovery#

Binance L2 combines an exchange snapshot with sequenced updates. A sequence gap invalidates continuity and requires rebuilding the book. An empty or rebuilding book is not a zero-liquidity market. Use the current session's capabilities to discover available streams; Binance does not provide market-by-order queue identity through this adapter.

If public data works but execution fails, check credentials, profile, quote asset, exchange permission and fee configuration. If only one resolution fails, check its environment support. If a stream reconnects, wait for a fresh valid book before interpreting depth. See Market depth data and Historical data for the data and recording boundaries.
